What the old lead-time sample can tell you

Work out the delivered total

DFS’s delivery information lists a £129 sofa delivery and installation service within its stated mainland coverage. It gives £49 for some other furniture, with services varying by product and range. Check your address and the order total: those figures are not a universal charge for everything sold by DFS.

Confirm whether the quote includes room-of-choice delivery, assembly and packaging removal. A flat-pack item and one delivered assembled are not the same service. Ask about access restrictions before paying, including stairs, lifts and narrow turns.

Read the product dimensions and all selected options on the order confirmation. For dining furniture, confirm the number of chairs and whether an extension leaf is included. For a bed or storage unit, check the internal dimensions and anything needed separately.

Earlier contact may prevent costs; it is not a guaranteed free-cancellation window.
