Boxing Day Bed Sales 2026: Frames, Storage and Sets

Decide the bed configuration first, then compare the total order. A frame, a divan base and a frame-and-mattress set are different purchases. This page is not a verified list of 2026 offers, and no prices or sale timings are established here. Use it to work out what to measure and which parts belong in a quote.

How to compare these products

This list does not confirm current offers. Before buying, compare:

• The exact model, product condition and seller
• The total cost, including delivery and any required fees
• Recent prices for the same model, rather than the advertised discount alone
• Delivery, returns and guarantee terms, including any membership conditions

What the order includes

IKEA’s MALM ottoman in white, Standard Double (304.048.20) includes the midbeam and slatted base, but the mattress and bed linen are separate purchases. The MALM high frame with two storage boxes (691.759.74) also needs a mattress, and its slats and midbeam come in separate packages.

The MALM frame with ÅBYGDA medium-firm mattress (595.448.63) is different: it includes the frame, mattress, slats and midbeam, with storage boxes suggested as extras. Match the exact product code before comparing two bundles. For mattress choice and aftercare, use the mattress guide.

Configuration	Example	Check before comparing
Lift-up ottoman	MALM 304.048.20	Frame size against mattress size, plus mattress weight
Drawer frame	MALM 691.759.74	Drawer contents against space to pull them out
Side-opening ottoman	Dreams Wilson (251-01100)	Which side opens, and what stands beside the bed
Divan base	Dreams divan range	Base construction and drawer layout
Frame and mattress set	MALM 595.448.63	Which mattress is included and which extras are not

Measure the frame, then check the mattress

The frame is bigger than the mattress it holds. The MALM 304.048.20 is 200 × 150 cm and takes a 190 × 135 cm mattress. It also lists a 40 kg maximum mattress weight, which applies to this Standard Double only. Matching length and width is not enough on a lift-up bed, so check your mattress weight against the limit for the bed you buy.

For the drawer version, each drawer is listed at 92 cm inside width, 59 cm inside depth and 15 cm inside height (IKEA 691.759.74). That tells you what fits inside. It does not tell you how much room the boxes need to slide out, so check the space beside the bed yourself.

Dreams says its Wilson upholstered ottoman frame can be assembled to lift from either side. Choose the side before assembly, based on where the wall, wardrobe or bedside furniture sits. Bensons’ delivery preparation guidance points to the same checks: the ottoman’s opening direction, plus door and wardrobe movement.

On divans, Dreams’ buying guide describes half-sized continental drawers in a 2+2 arrangement alongside full-sized drawers, intended to leave room for furniture such as bedside tables. Compare the drawer layout of the exact base, not just the drawer count. The same guide separates platform-top and pocket-sprung bases, so record the base type in each quote.

Price the service with the bed

Dreams’ delivery options describe standard service as reaching the doorstep or entrance hallway. Room of choice is a separate upgrade, included when its assembly service is chosen. Bensons’ assembly service covers delivery to the chosen room, construction and a features-and-care handover. Adding assembly may change the delivery date.

Old-bed removal differs by seller. Dreams says its delivery team does not dismantle old beds, so items for recycling must already be taken apart. Recycling is also unavailable on products delivered by a third-party courier. Bensons offers a dismantling service with recycling. Without it, you dismantle the old frame, including slats and side rails, yourself.

A full quote therefore covers the base or frame, the mattress you choose, a headboard or other required parts, the delivery level, assembly and old-bed removal. Compare sellers on that basis using the Dreams, Bensons and IKEA pages, and see the furniture guide for other rooms. For calendar facts, use the Boxing Day dates guide.

FAQ

Does a bed-frame price include the mattress?

Not necessarily. The MALM ottoman 304.048.20 lists the mattress as a separate purchase, while the MALM and ÅBYGDA combination 595.448.63 includes one. Check the exact product code.

Are drawers or an ottoman better next to a bedside table?

It depends on the room. Drawers need space to slide out, while an ottoman needs room to lift, and Dreams’ Wilson can be assembled to open from either side. Dreams’ divan guide also describes drawer layouts meant to leave room for bedside furniture.

Does bed recycling include taking the old frame apart?

It differs by seller. Dreams says its delivery team does not dismantle old beds, and items must already be taken apart. Bensons offers a separate dismantling service with recycling.

Does delivery include carrying the bed upstairs and assembling it?

Not by default. Dreams’ standard service reaches the doorstep or entrance hallway, with room of choice as an upgrade. Bensons’ assembly adds room delivery and construction, and may change the delivery date.
