A comfort exchange is different from a refund trial
Dreams’ 100-night Comfort Guarantee allows one qualifying exchange after 30 to 100 nights, with a mattress protector required. Its terms exclude Blue-cross and ex-display mattresses and charge £95 for collection and re-delivery. Bensons’ 40-night Comfort Guarantee permits a qualifying exchange after at least five nights and within 40 nights. A protector is required. It includes a charge of 10% of the original bed value plus re-delivery, and excludes several product types including clearance and ex-display. A cheaper replacement does not generate a refund of the difference. Confirm the terms for the mattress you select.

Direct-brand trials still have conditions
Simba’s terms describe a 200-night trial for eligible new mattresses bought directly or through an authorised participating retailer. Cot-bed, Contract range and refurbished mattresses are excluded from that particular trial. Check condition requirements, purchase-channel eligibility and collection or delivery charges rather than treating the brand name as automatic coverage.
Emma’s UK terms list the models and direct purchases covered by its 200-night trial; other products and selling channels can have different arrangements. Match your selected product to the relevant section. Do not assume that every Emma listing has the same trial.
For Eve, check the trial for the exact product and seller. A product banner may not apply to refurbished or third-party purchases. Check any exclusions in writing if they affect your decision.
For John Lewis, check the chosen mattress’s guarantee and return conditions. There is no evidence here for one five-year guarantee or extended return policy applying to every mattress sold by the retailer.
Delivery, condition and the cost of a change
